Tableau Certified Data Analyst (Month-to-Month Contract)

Our client is seeking a Tableau Certified Data Analyst to join an exciting project based in Johannesburg with travel to Angola as required. This contract role is ideal for a data professional who enjoys transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights and building interactive dashboards that support strategic business decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyse, and interpret business and data requirements. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports. Connect Tableau to multiple data sources and optimise data models for performance. Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance. Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data. Identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights. Present analytical findings and recommendations to key stakeholders. Collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams. Troubleshoot and improve dashboard performance. Ensure reporting solutions comply with data governance and security standards.

 

Requirements

Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification (essential). 3–5+ years of experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence. Advanced Tableau Desktop experience. Strong SQL development skills. Experience with data modelling and ETL concepts. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile environments is advantageous. Exposure to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, Power BI, Python, R, or data warehousing concepts will be beneficial.

 

Additional Information

Month-to-month contract based in Johannesburg. Travel to Angola will be required throughout the project. All approved business travel expenses, including flights and accommodation, will be covered by the client.
