We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team on a 3‑month contract for a major factory project based in Durban. This role requires someone who can start immediately and support fast‑paced engineering and production operations.

Duties & Responsibilities  

Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and integrity checks on factory structures and equipment Review and approve structural designs, drawings, and modifications Provide engineering support for maintenance, upgrades, and project installations Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and building codes Work closely with project managers, production teams, and contractors Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations Oversee structural repairs and ensure quality control on all engineering work

 

Desired Experience & Qualification \uD83C\uDF93 Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (with structural focus) Pr.Eng / ECSA registration is an advantage Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in structural engineering Experience in factory, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred Strong understanding of structural analysis, load calculations, and engineering software Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines Must be available to start immediately and work on‑site daily
