Urgent Opportunity: Senior Solution / Enterprise Architect (Hybrid – Johannesburg) 

We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join a high-impact digital transformation programme. This is a 6–12 month contract with the potential for extension, requiring someone who can step in quickly and deliver at pace.

Duties & Responsibilities

Define and drive enterprise and solution architecture aligned to business strategy Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and executive summaries Lead architecture governance and design standards Engage with senior stakeholders across business and technology to influence outcomes Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and bounded-context modelling Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data privacy standards Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance design and delivery

Desired Experience & Qualification  

Core Competencies

Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align tech to business outcomes Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills (including executive level) Proven ability to influence and collaborate across complex, multi-entity environments Proficiency in ArchiMate, UML, and architecture modelling tools Solid understanding of threat modelling (STRIDE, OWASP MASVS for mobile) Exposure to telecom standards (3GPP, GSMA) and digital architecture frameworks Experience with TM Forum Open APIs and Open Digital Architecture (ODA)

 

Preferred Certifications

TOGAF 10 (or Zachman / ArchiMate 3 equivalent) Cloud Certifications: AWS / Azure / GCP Architect (Professional/Expert level) Kubernetes: CKA or CKAD Security: CISSP, CCSP, or CISM TM Forum ODA / Open APIs certification GSMA Mobile Money certification (advantageous)
