Senior Systems Analyst - Contract

Introduction We're looking for a  Senior Systems Analyst with 8–12+ years of experience in the banking sector, strong expertise in business analysis and systems integration, solid SDLC knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills, and exposure to customer loyalty platforms such as eBucks or Vitality.

Duties & Responsibilities Business & Requirements Analysis

Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement elicitation sessions. Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications. Create process maps, use cases, user stories, and workflow diagrams. Evaluate current systems and identify opportunities for improvement.

Solution Design

Collaborate with architects and development teams to design system solutions. Define system interfaces, integration requirements, and data flows. Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards. Prepare system design documentation and technical specifications.

System Implementation

Support system development and implementation activities. Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement. Review developed solutions to ensure alignment with requirements.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Develop and review test scenarios and acceptance criteria. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate delivered solutions against business requirements. Assist in issue resolution and defect management.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT teams. Provide regular project updates and status reports. Manage stakeholder expectations and obtain approvals where required. Facilitate workshops and solution review sessions.

Documentation & Governance

Maintain comprehensive system documentation. Ensure compliance with organizational governance standards. Support audit and regulatory requirements where applicable. Develop user manuals, process guides, and knowledge articles.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification Experience

8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role. Proven experience within the banking or financial services industry. Exposure to customer loyalty programmes such as eBucks, Vitality, Rewards, or similar platforms is highly advantageous. Experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering through to implementation and support.

Technical Skills

Business and systems requirements elicitation and documentation. Functional and technical specification writing. System integration and API-based solutions. Process modelling and workflow design. Data flow analysis. User story creation and backlog management. Experience with: Agile Scrum Waterfall System interface analysis. UAT planning and support. Defect management and issue resolution.
