Duties & Responsibilities Our client in the oil and gas industry is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team on a 6 month contract.
This is a highly analytical role focused on developing robust financial forecasting tools and reports, performing strategic insightful analysis (including ad-hoc scenario planning). You will be responsible for analysing business performance versus forecast, identifying key variances, trends, and drivers, and ensuring leadership has a clear, accurate view of how the refinery is performing financially.
Desired Experience & Qualification Qualification required:
CA(SA), CFA, or CIMA qualification
Experience required:
3-4+ years’ experience in FP&A, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or a similarly analytical role. Experience in petrochemical or FMCG industry preferred. Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, with intermediate data analytics skills (e.g. Excel, BI tools, SQL or similar) and an ability to keep complex analysis simple and decision-oriented. Solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting fundamentals. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise analysis into clear insights for both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Comfortable working cross-functionally and rolling up your sleeves to get hands-on across multiple teams. Available immediately
