About the Role
A leading technology consulting business is seeking a Senior Development Lead to join a high-profile core banking transformation programme within the financial services sector.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical expertise combined with the ability to lead engineering teams delivering enterprise-grade banking solutions. You will work on mission-critical systems, integration services and modern banking platforms where performance, resilience and scalability are essential.
Candidates must have recent Core Banking experience within a banking environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead a team of software engineers across the full software development lifecycle. Design and develop enterprise-grade solutions using C# and .NET technologies. Build scalable, secure and highly available banking applications. Lead integration initiatives across multiple banking platforms and services. Design and implement abstraction layers to support modern architecture principles. Drive technical standards, code quality and engineering best practice. Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Product Owners. Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across delivery teams. Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
Desired Experience & Qualification
8+ years' software development experience. Proven experience leading development teams. Expert-level C# and .NET development. Strong full-stack development experience. Enterprise integration experience (APIs, services, messaging or middleware). Experience designing abstraction layers and reusable application frameworks. Strong understanding of distributed systems and enterprise architecture. Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Mandatory Industry Experience
Candidates must have experience within Core Banking or Banking Technology, including experience working on banking platforms, payment systems, lending, deposits, customer platforms or related core banking domains.
