This role is ideal for a seasoned SAP Functional Consultant who possesses deep expertise in theory and organizational practice within Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). The strongest candidates will combine strong configuration skills with a background in complex Logistics and Supply Chain environments, making them uniquely equipped to manage end-to-end Aftersales Parts Logistics solutions.

They are completely independent professionals who thrive on taking vague, ambiguous requirements and conducting the necessary investigation to turn them into clear, scalable proposals. They communicate confidently across technical and non-technical lines, excel at building consensus without direct command, and bring a proactive mindset to troubleshooting operational tickets within a fast-moving DevOps team.

While a background with automotive parts routing or massive global templates is a distinct advantage, what matters most is your ability to take complete ownership of complex data paths, drive conceptual changes to existing systems, and confidently navigate a dynamic global team setup.

You will be responsible for providing IT solutions for Aftersales Parts Logistic Warehouse Processes on central and wholesale levels. Working across central platforms based on the SAP EWM and ERP ATLAS Template (the main application for global hubs like CDC Dingolfing, Con DC US, and Leipzig/Regensburg) as well as wholesale levels based on the SAP ERP WM Template, you will drive core inbound, outbound, returns, and internal warehouse optimization processes.

SAP EWM Mastery: Functional and configuration expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to optimize complex, large-scale supply chain and logistics warehouse environments. Technical Leadership: Serve as a functional expert working completely independently to specify new products, processes, and standards, managing complex problem-solving and providing guidance to team members within a global DevOps framework. Global Delivery: Seamlessly collaborate with dynamic global teams, interacting with clients and cross-module consultants to deliver features aligned with global standards while executing according to the Agile methodology.

Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

Requirements & Design: Understand business requirements, prepare AS-IS and TO-BE documents, and secure user sign-off for functional/technical designs. Solution Improvement: Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of new/existing business processes and provide business case input regarding benefits and risks. Testing & QA: Prepare test data and execute/support unit testing, system integration tests, regression testing, UAT, and security testing. Operations & Tickets: Receive, troubleshoot, resolve, and close operational and maintenance tickets within strict SLAs, including development debugging when required. Deployment & Support: Prepare cut-over strategies (e.g., data migration), manage Go-Live preparations, deliver post Go-Live support, and handle Change Management presentations to the CAB. Agile Collaboration: Execute daily according to Agile methodologies, utilize the Agile Tool Chain, and actively participate in Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Planning sessions. Documentation: Analyse/scope end-user authorization roles, prepare User Manuals, conduct training for business owners, and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Desired Experience & Qualification Qualifications & Experience:

3–6 years of DevOps (Operations, configuration/development) experience in commercial and/or retail end-user IT applications. Relevant SAP Functional Certification (EWM). Essential: Willingness and ability to travel internationally for project requirements.

Essential Skills & Technologies:

SAP & Logistics Excellence:

Functional & Configuration experience in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management). Deep experience in Logistics Supply Chain & Operations. Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs with an aptitude to move concepts through to proposals and successful implementation.

DevOps & Professional Capabilities:

Operations experience within a structured DevOps environment. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with technical and non-technical colleagues. Flexibility to handle varied tasks across the project life cycle.

Advantageous Skills:

Level 1 process integration knowledge across multiple SAP Modules. Experience in SAP TM (Transportation Management). Ability to speak German.
