Introduction Our client is looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant (Expert) to join their SAP Engineering team, supporting enterprise-wide Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-in-Sequence (JIS) outbound logistics processes. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP S/4HANA logistics solutions that support complex manufacturing and supply chain operations within a global DevOps environment.
Working alongside international business stakeholders, SAP specialists, and cross-functional technical teams, you will drive end-to-end SAP solution delivery, ensuring stable, scalable, and efficient logistics processes while supporting continuous business improvement and innovation.

Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
SAP Solution Design: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA JIT/JIS solutions, ensuring scalable, efficient, and reliable logistics processes across enterprise environments. Business Process Optimisation: Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional SAP solutions, supporting fit-to-standard workshops, solution blueprints, and end-to-end process design. System Configuration: Configure SAP JIT control cycles, JIT/JIS call-off processes, delivery integration, and related logistics functionality while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration across SAP EWM, Transportation Management (TM), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP) to support efficient supply chain execution. Testing & Deployment: Lead system configuration, testing activities, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and production deployment while maintaining quality standards. Operational Support: Provide second and third-level SAP support, troubleshoot complex logistics issues, resolve integration challenges, and ensure system stability across production environments. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise supply chain processes, improve automation, reduce manual interventions, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and international colleagues while mentoring team members and promoting SAP best practices.
Desired Experience & Qualification Qualifications & Experience
Relevant Information Technology degree or recognised professional qualification. Minimum of 8 years' experience within SAP consulting and enterprise IT environments. Proven SAP S/4HANA implementation experience. Extensive experience delivering SAP JIT/JIS logistics solutions. Experience within manufacturing or automotive environments is highly advantageous.
