Opportunity Available!!! Our Construction Client is currently looking for a Contracts Manager ( Construction Industry) based in Johannesburg.
Must have a valid SACPCMP membership ( completed and not expired)
The Contracts Manager oversees delivery of projects from the start through to completion, establishing the optimal contractual framework, overseeing its successful management and delivery whilst ensuring positive economic outcomes. The incumbent functions as the first point of contact for all project stakeholders and guarantees Quality and HSE standards as well as contractual and legislative compliance.
Key Performance Areas
Providing effective leadership in the promotion of HSE compliance in the workplace
Taking complete responsibility and accountability for the overall quality compliance of all projects under his/her control
Location: Ideally candidates should be based in Gauteng, with flexibility to travel extensively to sites across various regions as required.
Industry Experience: broad construction experience, including civil, commercial, residential, warehousing, as well as both private and government projects.

Minimum Requirements
Professional Registration
SACPCMP Professional Registration (Construction Manager) – Mandatory
Experience Required
Tertiary Degree / Diploma (Building or Civil)
10+ Years Technical Experience10 years post-registration experience 6+ Years Managerial Experience Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Building or Civil) Proven experience within the construction industry Experience managing 1–3 sites simultaneously Strong contractual, commercial and project management experience Extensive knowledge of construction programming, quality management, cost reporting and stakeholder management Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence Willingness to travel extensively between sites

Extensive knowledge of project specifications Complete understanding of company quality systems and compliance documentation Assist and oversee implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System Manage and control non-conformities and PONC Raise system and operational NCR’s Participate in investigations, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures
3: Drives Short- and Long-Term Planning and Programming
Drive compilation of detailed contract programmes at project outset Compile detailed Method Statements Compile Information Required Schedules Compile Long-Lead Schedules Conduct risk assessments Manage project progress tracking Ensure optimal document management and reporting through SharePoint and BOS systems
4: Plans, Monitors and Manages Project Costs:
Assist Quantity Surveyor with CSS reports Ensure financial and contractual provisions are interpreted and applied correctly Ensure actual contract costs align with agreed budgets Oversee material, labour and subcontractor budgets Manage NOPD and EOT submissions Detect and manage delays, variations, changes and new items Participate in tender finalisation meetings Identify, manage and minimise project risks and disputes Drive recovery programmes where slippage occurs
5: Customer / Stakeholder Management
Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders Manage client liaison professionally and in a solutions-driven manner Participate in meetings as the main point of contact Provide expert advice and alternatives to clients, consultants and subcontractors Assist clients with value engineering Provide tendering, procurement and contractual assistance Ensure team conduct aligns with company brand and standards
6: Leadership and People Management
