Introduction PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Manage end-to-end recruitment process to ensure the attraction and appointment of suitably qualified talent in line with organisational requirements, employment equity targets and Labour Legislation.
Duties & Responsibilities Operational management
Recruitment Selection and On-boarding:
Partner with line management to understand the workforce planning needs Ensure recruitment practices comply with the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Employment Equity Act Manage the full recruitment life cycle (advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, onboarding support) to ensure recruitment and selection tools are fairly applied Facilitate the induction process in collaboration with Line Management Support the achievement of employment equity and transformation objectives Draft accurate job profiles and competency-based interview guides Conduct reference checks, qualification and background checks Maintain recruitment reports, statistics and tracking Build talent pipelines for critical and scarce skills Promote positive candidate experience aligned to company values Communicate plans and strategies to relevant stakeholders and monitor progress against objectives set Provide leadership and advisory services to clients on all people management challenges through the provision of high-quality guidance and support in developing effective people management solutions to achieve business objectives Represent HR within allocated area of responsibility, build and maintain professional to protect Company interests and ensure employee rights are protected. Demonstrate ownership of HR initiatives and deliver ongoing professional service to build and maintain credibility.
HR Processes:
Assist with the revision of Human Capital policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to drive business objectives Ensure that employee data required for record purposes is complete and relevant Monitor, evaluate and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and procedures in collaboration with Shared Services and relevant Centres of Excellence Create awareness to Line Management and employees with respect to HR policies, processes and procedures
Reporting:
Provide input and make recommendations into the development of an effective HR metrics Interpret and utilise HR metrics to provide information to management to inform decision making processes Record and track all required statistical data and ensure adherence to service level agreements Compile reports, presentations and recommendations by drawing actionable insights from raw information and data Provides input for monthly HR management report
HR Team Support:
Participate in HR projects as a resource to support HR initiatives as allocated by the HR Executive
Organisational Structure:
Provide input to ensure that organisation structures are optimal and changes are managed and approved in line with the overall organisational structure Ensure that job profiles are created, maintained and archived
Manpower Planning:
Engage with Line Management to understand the organisational structures and resources required to meet business objectives through effective workforce planning Monitor labour requirements and update workforce plan aligned to the approved workforce structure, core labour and project/commercial contract requirements Maintain efficient staffing levels in area(s) of responsibility in accordance with budgeted headcounts and in line with employment equity targets
Human Resource Management:
Participate in the performance management process Participate in staff meeting to discuss operational performance and business issues Live the company values and exhibits behaviours to reflect the company culture
Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant tertiary qualification equivalent to NQF 6 5 years’ experience as a Human Resource Generalist (including recruitment) Experience on recruitment platforms e.g. PNET Competent knowledge of Human Capital Management Principles Basic knowledge of Budget Management principles Solid understanding of Organisational objectives and corporate plans Basic knowledge of Strategic HR Management Framework Competent knowledge of HR Best practices Basic knowledge of Research Methodology Basic knowledge of Corporate Governance Competent knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act
