Our client is an E&I contractor with projects across , oil & gas, chemical, utilities, renewable energy, power generation, industrial process plants, and infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities Job Description
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution and management of E&I projects within the contracting environment. This role requires a hands-on leader with sound commercial awareness and experience administering contracts under NEC and FIDIC forms of contract.
Manage multiple Electrical and Instrumentation projects/contracts simultaneously. Oversee full project lifecycle from tender handover through execution to final close-out. Administer contracts in accordance with NEC and FIDIC contract conditions. Manage variations, claims, compensation events, extensions of time, acceleration claims, and subcontractor agreements. Ensure commercial risks are identified and mitigated. Monitor project costs, cash flow, forecasting, and profitability. Lead and manage project managers, site managers, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors.
Desired Experience & Qualification Qualifications
Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related discipline. Trade qualification with strong technical and commercial experience may also be considered. Related technical discipline / experience (E&I) in the Built Environment Additional project management or commercial qualifications advantageous.
Skills
Minimum 8–10 years’ experience within the electrical and instrumentation contracting environment. Proven experience managing E&I projects and contracts. Experience with industrial, mining, energy, infrastructure, or construction projects preferred. Strong understanding and administration of NEC and FIDIC contracts. Experience working for an engineering or construction contractor. Experience managing multiple site teams simultaneously. Knowledge of commissioning and project handover processes. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
