Position Summary
You will be responsible for managing projects on-site, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership in subcontractor management, client engagement and contract execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and manage projects from initiation to completion. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and risk registers. Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site activities. Manage project resources and ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Monitor project progress, quality, scope, risks and contractual compliance. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders. Lead project meetings, communicate progress and resolve project issues proactively. Oversee project financials, invoicing, change orders, cash flow and cost control. Prepare and submit project reports, schedules and progress updates. Ensure compliance with quality, safety and company standards. Manage project handover, documentation, close-out, warranties and lessons learned. Support tendering activities by providing project planning, technical and resource input.
Desired Experience & Qualification
N3 / Matric Certificate Project Management qualification (essential) Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within mechanical/electrical construction Strong knowledge of contracts (FIDIC/NEC) and project financials Job costing, financial planning and forecasts Proficient in MS Office & MS Projects / project planning software Fire industry & mining industry (beneficial) Valid driver’s licence/Willing to travel Must pass mine medical examination Available to start immediately
