<p><strong>Project Procurement Specialist / Superintendent – Commodity</strong></p><p><em><u>12 month contract role </u></em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Purpose</strong></p><p>The Project Procurement Specialist / Superintendent – Commodity is responsible for the end‑to‑end execution and governance of complex project procurement packages across mining, processing, smelting, and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on tender adjudication, contract governance, negotiations, savings realisation, and procurement planning and reporting, operating within approved supply chain frameworks and governance structures.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Tender &amp; Sourcing Execution</strong></p><ul><li>Draft and execute sourcing strategies in collaboration with cross‑functional project teams</li><li>Select and manage appropriate sourcing mechanisms (RFP, RFQ, RFI, preferred supplier routes) via the Coupa platform</li><li>Conduct tender negotiations and lead commercial discussions with suppliers</li><li>Participate in and support the tender adjudication process</li><li>Prepare, review, and facilitate approval of adjudication reports and sourcing evaluations</li><li>Present tender outcomes to the Tender Review Committee (TRC) in line with approval frameworks</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Contract Governance &amp; Management</u></strong></p><ul><li>Review and/or compile contracts in line with governance requirements</li><li>Ensure contracts receive approval from authorised signatories as per the Approval Framework</li><li>Coordinate Supply Chain Management Legal Interface reviews where required</li><li>Draft, review, and negotiate contract amendments post‑award</li><li>Facilitate the full approval process of contract amendments through to handover</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Procurement Planning, Savings &amp; Reporting</u></strong></p><ul><li>Identify, record, and track procurement savings at project or package level</li><li>Review and/or compile the procurement operating plan</li><li>Participate in weekly procurement meetings relating to active procurement packages</li><li>Compile and/or review monthly procurement reports for management and stakeholder review</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Compliance &amp; Governance</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in line with client Supply Chain policies, procedures, and templates</li><li>Maintain compliance with all internal approval frameworks and governance requirements</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Required Experience &amp; Skills</u></strong></p><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in project‑based procurement within complex, capital‑intensive environments</li><li>Strong capability in tender adjudication, negotiation, and contract governance</li><li>Experience preparing and presenting tender outcomes to formal review committees</li><li>Demonstrated ability to track and realise procurement savings</li><li>Experience compiling procurement plans and management reports</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Technical / Functional Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced sourcing and tender management</li><li>Contract compilation, amendment, and approval coordination</li><li>Procurement reporting and governance compliance</li><li>Stakeholder engagement across project and supply chain teams</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Level Clarification </strong></p><p><em>This role is not transactional (Buyer level) and not purely strategic (Manager level). It is a senior execution role with accountability for package‑level procurement delivery, adjudication support, contract integrity, and savings realisation.</em></p>
