Introduction We are looking for an experienced Process Automation Lead to join a leading insurance environment on a 12-month contract basis. This is a fully remote opportunity for professionals based in Johannesburg.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process automation, intelligent automation solutions, stakeholder engagement, and leading technical delivery teams within the insurance industry.

Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Lead and drive automation and process improvement initiatives across the business Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process engineering Guide technical teams in delivering scalable and sustainable automation solutions Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and delivery teams Support automation assessments, process mapping, and solution design Ensure governance, best practices, and quality standards are followed Implement intelligent automation solutions using Azure technologies and RPA tools Manage stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle Support testing, operational handovers, and continuous improvement initiatives
Desired Experience & Qualification Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience leading automation or process improvement initiatives Strong insurance industry experience is essential Experience with: Azure AI Foundry Azure Logic Apps Azure Functions Power Platform UiPath Strong stakeholder and people management skills Business process mapping and analytical skills Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
Relevant Degree qualification Scrum Foundation certification advantageous Strong Microsoft Office and Visio skills
