Year to Year Contract About the Role The site engineer is responsible for Core Network Site works in South Africa Gauteng region (will change based on the future projects). Site works includes power checking, cooling checking, floor space checking, subcon arrangement, materials counting, materials delivery arrangement, be a supervisor for sub-con’s installation work. Satisfy the hardware installation process rule. Support the customers in all site issues, and improve the relationship to the customers. The successful candidate will serve as the technical owner of assigned sites and be accountable for the successful end-to-end delivery of telecommunications and data center infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, engineering judgment, stakeholder management, project coordination, and ownership of site delivery outcomes. Responsibilities <ul><li>Conduct comprehensive site surveys, including power, cooling, floor space, structural, cabling, and equipment assessments.</li><li>Independently validate site readiness and determine infrastructure requirements without reliance on third-party guidance.</li><li>Develop technically sound solutions for non-standard or complex site environment.</li><li>Maintain a thorough understanding of telecommunications, data center, power, cooling, transmission, and network infrastructure systems and their interdependence.</li><li>Sub-con arrangement, need arrange subcon for hardware installation and coordinate resources for end to end deliver.</li><li>Installation quality check, once finish the installation, need confirm with site manager to check the installation quality.</li><li>Arrange material delivery, recognize all materials and arrange shipment for them go to each site.</li><li>Site customer support, support site customer with their complaints.</li><li>Take ownership of the complete project lifecycle from site survey through installation, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.</li><li>Continuously develop expertise in new technologies, products, and deployment methodology.</li><li>Identify, assess, communicate, and mitigate technical, operational, logistical, and project risks.</li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li>College degree or above.</li><li>Specialization: Electronics science, Telecommunication, Information Technology (IT).</li><li>Working experience in engineering or technical support in telecommunication industry is preferred.</li></ul> Required Skills <ul><li>Good sense of responsibility, patient and precise.</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical power systems, power distribution, load management, grounding, redundancy concepts, and equipment power requirements.</li><li>Have a basic understanding of the ICT industry.</li><li>Experience in installing core equipment rooms is preferred.</li><li>Strong learning and communication skills; Have strong customer understanding and requirement analysis capabilities.</li><li>Good communication and coordination, teamwork skills.</li></ul> Preferred Skills <ul><li>Experience in installing core equipment rooms is preferred.</li></ul> Pay range and compensation package Year to Year Contract Role Equal Opportunity Statement We are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
