The Network Administrator’s responsibilities are defined by the scope of the annuity contract. His or her primary objectives are to deliver a professional network support service that meets and exceeds the customer’s expectation.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Owns and is accountable for HCL OT Network service delivery on site</li><li>Own HCL OT Network Operations, Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management</li><li>Performance &amp; Delivery</li><li>Carry out industry standard test to diagnose and resolve faults</li><li>Explain technical solutions to non-technical staff</li><li>Stay abreast of advances in technology, especially Industrial IT (OT)</li><li>Management and support of the various environments.</li><li>Management of Network Security</li><li>Software and licenses</li><li>Set up and maintenance of security rights and access permissions.</li><li>Provide the necessary user documentation.</li><li>Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards.</li><li>Play a lead role in the development and implementation of Networks in area of responsibility.</li><li>Contributing to Technical Strategy, Policy, and Procedures for OT</li><li>Development and operation of technical testing programs.</li><li>Reporting on progress/issues to management and users.</li><li>Management and liaison of supplier/contractual relationships.</li><li>Monitoring and responding to issues.</li><li>Delivering on project plans as and when required.</li><li>Resolving cross-functional issues at technical level.</li><li>Defining requirements for reporting and interfacing.</li><li>Technician training and skill transfers</li><li>Analysis of current and future processes/systems</li><li>Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessments and other procedures related to responsibility within OT.</li><li>Maximize network availability and performance through fault-tolerant configurations, efficient network and server architectures, and proactive monitoring.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by management.</li><li>Maintain professionalism, good attitude and appropriate behaviour with IT/OT personnel, clients, and vendors.</li><li>Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly workplace/office</li><li>Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Network Support in the area for responsibility</li><li>Ensure OT Network Support Services are delivered according to standard operating procedures and/or agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA)</li><li>Plan, schedule, and report relevant OT service delivery tasks, in line with the Anglo IM Operating Model</li><li>Build and improve client relationships.</li><li>Ensure that all clients meetings are attended in time as and when required</li><li>Participate in Problem Management for P1/P2 incidents and proactive problem management on recurring incidents (infrastructure and application)</li><li>Risk Management for all outstanding network related risks e.g., Single point of failures, End of Life Infrastructure etc,</li><li>Ensure OT Operational Scheduled tasks are executed on time</li><li>Assist with OT Monthly performance and SLA reports and provide network and infrastructure content on data presented in reports</li><li>Monitor and control site network and infrastructure priority calls (Incident Management) for Operational Technology (OT).</li><li>Focus on OT customer service, troubleshooting and immediate time-bound response for the OT users</li><li>Escalate complex queries to the relevant Support Experts for OT</li><li>Identify and drive service improvement opportunities from data trend analysis and OT customer input/need</li><li>Ensure effective OT change management processes are in place for any new OT network infrastructure or system changes on site</li><li>Ensure continuous communication, technical resolution, and feedback regarding escalations to customers</li><li>Ensure housekeeping activities and preventative maintenance is being performed.</li><li>Assist to coach and develop OT resources</li><li>Manage and or perform all relevant network administration to achieve efficiency.</li><li>Attend daily, weekly, monthly operational and governance meeting as and when required</li><li>Ensure that relevant customer documentation is maintained.</li><li>Facilitate and enforce ITIL frameworks policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform standby duties so that Network Support is covered 24/7</li><li>Provide inputs on automation opportunities to streamline things and provide better service delivery.</li><li>Responsible for all day-to-day management of networks including installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and recovery for responsible area/sites</li><li>Root Cause Analysis participation and preparation.</li><li>Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of the projects, when required</li><li>Experience with large-scale enterprise projects.</li><li>Hands on delivery in a client facing environment.</li><li>Understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, physical datacenter practices.</li><li>Knowledge of methodologies for developing, building, and configuring a network.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills. Is persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.</li><li>Understanding of architecture elements (LLD / HLD)</li><li>Installation / troubleshooting</li><li>Network comprehensive</li><li>Experienced in DR activities.</li><li>Manage diversity in networks</li></ul><p><br></p><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent diploma.</li><li>Completed Grade 12</li><li>Relevant Information Technology Certifications/Qualifications: Completed IT Diploma/Degree</li><li>Minimum CCNA preferable CCNP</li><li>Network knowledge/certification</li><li>Professional Qualifications: ITIL Foundation.</li><li>Technical Network Certifications.</li></ul><p></p>
