Introduction We are looking for a candidate for a one-year trainee programme. The nature of the programme will be primarily practical. The focus will be on obtaining experience in the various aspects of the Nautical Department and will culminate in the management of various tasks. Duties & Responsibilities •Participate in developmental activities which will initially focus on acquiring basic knowledge while working under supervision. This will progress to working unsupervised, with broadening scope of knowledge.•Administration and reporting on shore support operations.•Develop an understanding of marine management and processes related to operational activities, while supporting the team with various tasks and responsibilities. Desired Experience & Qualification •Preference will be given to candidates who have recently obtained their Officer of a Watch Certificate ofCompetency(Navigational) and looking to gain exposure to maritime operations ashore.•Submit a CV with details of qualification(s), including year obtained.•Submit a motivation letter outlining why they are the ideal candidate.•Be a South African citizen.•Be responsible and willing to participate as a member of the team.•Have high energy levels and an unwavering commitment to learning and development.•Be willing to travel and work irregular hours.
