The incumbent will ensure alignment with the University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) brand positioning, recruitment objectives, and institutional marketing strategy, while enhancing the visibility, reputation, and stakeholder networks of the Department of Finance and Investment Management (DFIM). Responsibilities: The responsibilities and duties of the successful incumbent include the following: Strategic Marketing and PositioningDevelop and implement an integrated departmental marketing and communication strategy.Lead and coordinate promotional campaigns to support student recruitment, programme growth and stakeholder engagement.Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform positioning and strategic decision-making.Develop and manage the annual marketing plan and calendar. Digital Strategy and Brand ManagementProvide strategic oversight of the Department’s digital platforms, including website and social media Oversee content development, digital engagement, and targeted outreach initiatives.Manage and expand departmental and stakeholder databases.Monitor and evaluate campaign effectiveness. Desired Experience & Qualification A Degree (NQF 7) in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field.A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant operational-level experience in marketing and communications.Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination.Proven experience in digital marketing management and content development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Editing and design skills using Canva or similar platforms.Basic photography and visual content development skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
