Duties & Responsibilities PLEASE NOTE: This is a 6 month contract position.
The Leisure Travel Consultant will need to effectively action the travel booking process at all levels, resulting in an efficient, effective and cost conscious travel service.
- Specialise in leisure travel with specialist knowledge of the products offered, relevant fares and deals in place.
- Client centric and focus on superior service delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Matric & Travel Diploma Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Leisure Travel Consultant Experience in rewards travel programmes would be a great fit Amadeus GDS experience & Amadeus Certificate Tech savvy – as you will offer navigational support to members
Responsibilities:
Reservations, Fares, Issuing and Reissuing Tickets Full understanding and ability to facilitate bookings via an Online Booking system and portal Ability to fulfil package bookings through tour operators and ability to self- package deals Issue full domestic and international reservations including hotel, car, air, transfer, B&B etc Accurately complete all reissues Ability to quote preferred agreement deals and full understanding of the conditions of these deals and eligibility Ability to accurately conclude multi-sector/round the world reservations Ability to complete all refunds accurately Ensure preferred agreement deals are understood & applies Ability to provide navigational and technical support on our online portal Provide troubleshooting to all online users where required Ensure that all fees are correctly charged at time of ticketing including invoicing and referral bookings No tickets to be on the un-invoiced ticket list Ability to identify other opportunities for additional income and savings to client, when quoting All vouchers correctly issued and emailed to the client and supplier Cost conscious mindset for business and client
