Introduction A leading community-focused organisation responsible for supporting sustainable development and service delivery initiatives is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversee the successful completion and close-out of a major groundwater infrastructure project, ensuring the highest standards of engineering, contract administration, and project delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Oversight: Manage and oversee the completion of outstanding construction works. Contract Administration: Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC Red Book (1999) and GCC 2015. Defects and Liabilities Management: Manage the Defects Notification Period (DNP) and associated processes. Project Close-Out: Lead project finalisation and handover activities. Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Prepare and present monthly technical reports. Legal & Expert Advisory (Where Required): Provide expert technical opinions for disputes or legal processes.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Registered Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA. 10–15 years' experience in infrastructure, civil engineering, or water-related projects. Proven experience in contract administration (FIDIC), defects management, project close-out, and infrastructure project supervision. Experience in groundwater projects will be advantageous Experience completing projects inherited from other engineers is highly desirable
