Introduction Our client based in Durban is urgently seeking for an Ink Technician for a period of one contract. Must be available to start immediately.
Duties & Responsibilities
Mixing and issuing of ink, varnish, chemicals and other consumable items Colour Matching and colour scans Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures Conducting drawdowns/proofs for new pantone/jobs Ability to resolve technical ink/press issues at customers ( Technical troubleshooting ) Capturing information on the Ink Management System Manage ink returns and stock Maintaining necessary documentation accurately and timeously Prioritising the daily tasks and workflow for ink kitchen/lab – assisting with production plan Oversee Production and performing QC procedures when production has been completed Their role is to ensure the quality and service expectations of our customers are met. Reporting to the Branch Manager.
Desired Experience & Qualification Matric
experience in a printing environment and a fundamental understanding of different printing applications and formulating
Colour Test passed – colour matching proficiency – colour wheel, 100-part formulation
Visual Speed & Accuracy & Alpha Numeric Assessments passed
Technical Aptitude – particularly knowledge of UV inks and the ability to use spectrophotometer, ink formulator, ink dispensing system
Customer service orientation – relationship building
Good verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
Ability to work unsupervised
Accuracy and attention to detail
Package & Remuneration R14.000 per month
