Introduction Our client is looking for an Implementation Project Manager to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end implementation of an ERP-based HCM solution across multiple business entities and countries. Manage the full project lifecycle using a structured implementation methodology, ensuring delivery from planning through to deployment. Establish and maintain effective project governance, including project plans, timelines, risk and issue management, and stakeholder reporting. Provide regular status updates and reporting to senior stakeholders and steering committees. Act as the primary point of contact for external implementation partners, ensuring contractual deliverables are met and scope is effectively managed. Coordinate with internal HR, IT, Payroll, and business teams to ensure system configuration, testing, and deployment activities are completed on schedule. Oversee data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, validation, and readiness for go-live. Manage and oversee testing activities, including requirements validation, test planning, execution, and defect resolution. Drive change management and user adoption, supporting the transition to a self-service HCM operating model. Support training, communication, cutover, and go-live readiness activities to ensure a successful system rollout. Ensure compliance with relevant local regulatory and organisational requirements throughout the implementation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, HR, or Project Management. 8+ years’ project management experience, with delivery of enterprise HCM / ERP implementations. Proven experience managing end-to-end cloud-based system implementations. Strong experience working with system integrators and external vendors. Solid understanding of HR, payroll, and people data processes. Experience overseeing data migration, testing, and go-live activities. Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and governance forums. Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar) advantageous. Experience in multi-country implementations advantageous. Available immediately and willing to work on a fixed-term contract. Willing and able to travel between Johannesburg and Zambia to support project requirements on sites.
