Duties & Responsibilities Manage and maintain the company’s systems architecture and infrastructure, both physical and virtual.
Establish and implement processes and procedures, supported by approved policies, for the day-to-day administration of the infrastructure.
Proactively administer and monitor servers, network hardware, and internet infrastructure, providing high-level (third line) support for network, server, and internet systems.
Develop and implement an infrastructure improvement plan to ensure flexibility and growth.
Undertake end-to-end project management within the ICT division, covering tasks, resources, timelines, and risk management.
Support budget alignment and control in line with the approved budget.
Provide statistical reports on helpdesk activity, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and critical communications are delivered.
Ensure that logged service tickets are assigned to the appropriate personnel and that proper system controls are in place to track and record all activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Critical Competencies:
ICT Service Delivery and SLA Management – Ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with agreed service level agreements.
Infrastructure Design and Implementation – Plan, design, and deploy IT infrastructure to meet organisational needs.
Operating Systems (MS Windows 10 Pro) Project Management – Oversee projects involving deployment, upgrades, and maintenance of Windows 10 environments.
Policy Development and Implementation – Develop ICT policies and ensure their effective enforcement across the organisation.
ICT Governance – Maintain compliance with IT governance frameworks and best practices.
ICT Networking Protocols – Manage and optimise network protocols to ensure reliable communication and connectivity.
Patch Management, Antivirus, and VPN Technologies – Administer SCCM/Intune for patching, maintain antivirus protection, and manage secure VPN access.
ICT Disaster Recovery – Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
ICT Configuration Management – Track and manage system configurations to maintain integrity and compliance.
ICT Mobile Computing and Wireless Communication Systems – Support mobile devices, wireless networks, and related systems.
SQL Administration – Manage SQL databases including performance, backups, and security.
Active Directory Management and Group Policy Implementation – Administer Active Directory and implement Group Policies to ensure secure and efficient user and resource management.
Desired Experience & Qualification National Certificate Matrix (Grade 12)
BCOM in Commerce and IT Management Degree
5 years’ experience in management role
Cyber Security Certificate
Prince 2 Project Management
ITIL Service Management Foundation
MCSA 2000 Professional
MCSA 2003 Professional
Master Network Engineer (MNE) Diploma
