Introduction An established mining contractor is looking for an experienced G6 Welder to join a short-term SMPP project in Zambia.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform high-quality structural and pipe welding in accordance with project specifications. Carry out fabrication and repair welding on mining equipment and structures. Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Work efficiently within a site-based project team to meet project deadlines.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Valid G6 (6G) Welding Qualification. Minimum 3+ years' experience in mining or heavy industrial environments. Proficient in: Arc Welding CO₂ (MIG) Welding Flux Core Welding (FCAW) TIG Welding (GTAW) Experience welding structural steel, pipework and platework. Experience with aluminium and stainless-steel repair welding. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings. Exposure to boilermaking will be advantageous. Valid passport
