Financial Manager - Telecommunications

Introduction An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Manager to join a growing telecommunications business based in Rosebank.

The business is on an aggressive growth trajectory and offers an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. This role would suit a hands-on financial professional and all-rounder who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes and working across multiple areas of finance rather than operating within one specialist function.

Duties & Responsibilities

Take ownership of the day-to-day financial management function Financial and management reporting Month-end and year-end processes Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Cash flow, working capital and financial planning Maintain strong financial controls and governance Coordinate audit, tax and statutory requirements Provide meaningful financial analysis and support business decision-making Identify and implement process and control improvements Partner with senior management and operational stakeholders Lead and develop the finance team Support the business as it continues to grow and develop its finance function

Desired Experience & Qualification

CA(SA) or fully qualified CIMA – essential Strong telecommunications or infrastructure industry experience – essential Proven Financial Manager, Financial Controller or equivalent operational finance experience Strong financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience Sound understanding of cash flow, working capital, controls, audit and tax Previous people-management experience Strong commercial and analytical ability Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing and relatively unstructured environment Willing to be hands-on and involved in the detail Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
