<strong>MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION<br><br></strong>To support the finance department by assisting with basic accounting and administrative tasks while gaining practical, hands-on experience. The Finance Administrator Intern will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily financial operations, and ensuring efficient departmental processes, while developing foundational skills in finance and accounting within a professional environment.<br><br><strong>Finance Administrator Intern Duties And Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.</li><li>Process cashbook receipts and payments under supervision.</li><li>Support bank reconciliations and company account reconciliations.</li><li>Check weekly fuel claims, process payments, and prepare monthly submissions to payroll.</li><li>Help maintain and update financial databases and filing systems (digital and physical).</li><li>Prepare and format financial documents, reports, and correspondence.</li><li>Assist with audits, compliance checks, and internal reviews by organizing required documentation.</li><li>Support procurement activities, including supplier record maintenance and purchase order processing.</li><li>Provide general administrative support to the finance team.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><strong>Internal training associated with competencies:<br><br></strong><ul><li>During the first week of employment, you will be provided with a structured learning map designed to support your onboarding and role-specific development.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Matric (Grade 12)</li><li>A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills and Abilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Adaptability and openness to feedback.</li><li>Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.</li><li>Integrity and professionalism in handling financial information.</li><li>Proactive and resourceful approach to learning.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Good organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Basic knowledge of accounting software and MS Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.</li><li>Clear communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Office Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Office-based working environment.</li><li>Semi-formal dress code.</li><li>Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00.</li><li>Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal.</li><li>Reliable transport to and from the office.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Note: <br><br></strong><ul><li>This is a 1 year internship contract. </li><li>You will be required to perform such duties as reasonably required by the business.</li><li>Your job description may be amended from time to time if it is valid and reasonable.</li><li>You will serve the Company or any Associated Entity in such capacity as management may reasonably require.</li><li>Duties must be performed faithfully, diligently, and to the best of your abilities.</li><li>You agree to use your best endeavors to promote the best interests of the Company and any Associated Entity.</li><li>You may be required within reason, to work outside of set duties and/or perform in more than one role</li></ul>
