Field Service Agent - Rosebank - 1 year Fixed Term Contract

N+ or CompTIA A+ certification, or comparable real-world experience Proficiency in isiZulu, Sesotho, or Setswana A vehicle will be provided for field use – must have clean, valid driver’s license

Duties & Responsibilities Technical Competencies & Experience:

Knowledge of Ruckus, Cambium, or comparable managed WiFi hardware Knowledge of informal trade settings and township companies Knowledge of Sesotho, Setswana, or isiZulu. Work experience in networking, IT support, telecom installation, or technical fields Capable of configuring and debugging network hardware, such as LTE devices, routers, and access points Able to read signal data and basic network diagnostics Excellent communication abilities and self-assurance while interacting with local company owners Proficiency in isiZulu, Sesotho, or Setswana

 Duties:

Install, set up, and commission WiFi equipment in both new and old locations. Conduct reactive and planned hardware health inspections throughout the network. Identify and fix hardware, setup, and connectivity problems on the spot. Update firmware, replace malfunctioning equipment, and carry out regular maintenance. Record and update site data, such as SIM information, hardware condition, and equipment setup. Build rapport with venue owners and respond to on-site program inquiries. With good technical documentation, escalate complicated hardware or network problems to the NOC team. Assist installation contractors with the commissioning and onboarding of new locations.
