Introduction We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently on site while ensuring productivity, compliance, and adherence to safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Operate excavators for digging, trenching, loading, lifting, and earthmoving activities Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance checks Ensure safe operation of equipment at all times Follow site instructions and safety procedures Report defects, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately Assist with general site activities when required Maintain productivity and quality standards on site
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12 / Matric advantageous Valid Excavator Operator Certificate / License Minimum 3–5 years’ excavator operating experience Experience within construction, civil, mining, logistics, or industrial projects Medically fit for site work Good understanding of health and safety procedures Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required Clear criminal record advantageous
