Desktop Support Technician

<p>Desktop Support Technician – 3-Month Contract | Immediate Start</p><p><br></p><p>Disruptive IT is looking for a reliable and technically capable Desktop Support Technician to join our team on a 3-month contract, with an option to renew.</p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will provide onsite desktop and end-user support across multiple client locations, so the ability to travel between sites is essential.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><p>* Provide onsite desktop and end-user technical support.</p><p>* Install, configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops and peripheral devices.</p><p>* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system and connectivity issues.</p><p>* Support Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365 applications.</p><p>* Set up and configure printers, scanners and other office equipment.</p><p>* Perform software installations, upgrades and basic system maintenance.</p><p>* Assist with user account, password and access-related issues.</p><p>* Log, track and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed timelines.</p><p>* Escalate unresolved technical issues to the relevant support teams.</p><p>* Travel between client sites as required.</p><p>* Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with users and clients.</p><p><br></p><p>Minimum Requirements</p><p><br></p><p>* Relevant IT qualification or certification would be advantageous.</p><p>* Previous experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, Field Support or a similar technical support role.</p><p>* Good knowledge of Windows desktops/laptops, Microsoft 365 and common end-user applications.</p><p>* Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.</p><p>* Basic understanding of networking, Wi-Fi and connectivity troubleshooting.</p><p>* Good communication and customer service skills.</p><p>* Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.</p><p>* Must be available to start immediately.</p><p><br></p><p>Mandatory Requirements</p><p><br></p><p>* Clear criminal record.</p><p>* Valid South African driver’s licence.</p><p>* Own reliable vehicle.</p><p>* Must be willing and able to travel from site to site as required.</p><p><br></p><p>Location: Johannesburg / Gauteng</p><p>Contract: 3 months, with an option to renew</p><p>Start Date: Immediate</p><p><br></p><p>Candidates who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply.</p>
