Duties & Responsibilities JOB DESCRIPTION Monitoring and evaluation of projects
Assist in identifying case studies and best practice Perform field verification of submitted progress reports Capture lessons learnt and maintain data for policy learning Develop and maintain a database of funded projects on Sustainable Human Settlement
Project planning and management
Identify project gaps and develop terms of reference for projects Receive, evaluate and assess fundable proposal using relevant templates Ensure approval of eligible proposals and finalisation of relevant contracts with implementing agencies Support development of SHS project management templates and use thereof by entities Ensure implementing entities submit project reports on time, according to reporting templates and update PIMS timeously Coordinate changes requests on projects from Entities and obtain approval Define issue log and risk log
Contract implementation Management
Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of contracts Attend meetings with Implementing Agent to discuss progress and project performance Ensure that the contracts are duly closed Ensure contract status is monitored and contracts due to expire are renewed on time Monitor compliance with PFMA and relevant legislation Monitor and manage contract and project risks
Stakeholder management
Hold and attend workshops, joint project planning, meetings and information sharing sessions Identify new initiatives in Sustainable Human Settlements Identify key stakeholders for collaboration Compile letters, briefing notes and submissions, cabinet memos Continuous engagement with stakeholders
Financial administration
Facilitate the paying of service providers in line with the PFMA Monitor the efficient transfer of funds to the implementing agents/ institutions in line with company cash flow prescripts Monitor performance of the transferred projects funds
Enterprise development facilitation and reporting proxy indicators
Engage relevant stakeholders for enterprise development Ensure that all funded initiatives have enterprise development objectives
Knowledge products, policy briefs and marketing
Conduct research and relevant project case studies Contribute and facilitate project documentaries, website development, mapping and marketing activities of the directorate
JOB REQUIREMENTSExperience
Minimum of three years working experience in the built environment/ development management
Qualifications
National Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree qualification in the built environment or development planning. A minimum of one year qualification in Project Management is an added as an advantage
