Debtors & Revenue Controller (6 Month Contract)

Introduction Logistics company in Durban requires a Debtors & Revenue Controller to join their team for a 6 month Maternity Cover contract.

Duties include:

• Verification and capturing of customer invoices into the financial system • Preparing invoices for our customers • Filing supporting documentation in line with the required regulatory framework • Reconciling Debtors statements • Reconciling sub ledgers to the GL accounts • Supporting the financial controller on budgets and forecasts • Providing reasons for variances against budgets and forecasts • Supporting the team on B-BBEE compliance (specific focus of procurement) • Reviewing expenditure against budgets and forecasts and flags discrepancies • Reconciling and submission of VAT201 returns on E-filing • Reconciling and aligning on customs, zero rated and other vat categories against revenue class • Supervision of Debtors Clerk • Other ad hoc requests

Requirements • Diploma in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Management or related fields • Proven experience in the finance department • Experience working on SAGE is a non-negotiable • Knowledge of PASTEL will be advantageous • Knowledge of bookkeeping, debtors and creditors • Familiarity with International Accounting Standards
