Duties & Responsibilities Our reputable logistics and port terminal client is seeking the skills and expertise of a detail-oriented and motivated Data Capturer, based in Maydon Wharf, Durban.
Please note this is a 6-Month Contract role

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Data Capturer plays a critical role within the operations team, ensuring the smooth administration of logistics activities. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role focuses on invoicing accuracy, documentation control, driver coordination, and maintaining high levels of data integrity within logistics systems.
Requirements:
• Grade 12 (Matric) (essential) • Qualification in Logistics or related field (advantageous) • Proven experience in a logistics administration or similar role
• Experience working with logistics systems, mobile apps, or administrative software
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
Key duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Invoicing & Documentation • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks required for invoicing
• Verify, process, and manage Proof of Deliveries (PODs) submitted via the company mobile application
• Proactively request outstanding PODs from drivers and transporters where documentation has not been uploaded
• Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and compliant prior to invoicing
Communication, Coordination & Training • Maintain regular communication with drivers to ensure correct usage of the company app
• Train and support transporters on effective use of the transporter portal, focusing on accurate and timeous uploading of PODs
• Request, receive, and validate Purchase Orders (POs) and work orders from clients
• Liaise with internal departments to obtain required information for documentation and billing
Quality Assurance • Conduct routine audits of documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to company procedures
• Identify discrepancies, resolve issues timeously, and escalate where necessary
• Uphold company values by delivering accurate, reliable, and timely administrative outputs.
