3-month contract starting immediately Salary approximately R40 000 per month (depending on experience) Opportunity to transition into a permanent role
Minimum Requirements:
BCom in Finance or Accounting 2–5 years’ Cost Accounting experience Experience with contract/job costing and reconciliations Syspro or similar ERP experience advantageous Strong Excel skills
Responsibilities:
Daily processing of contract/job costing. Investigate and resolve contract cost discrepancies. Reconcile contract costing system to general ledger. Finalization and reporting of monthly contract costing by 3rd business day after month-end. Adherence to and improvement of monthly reporting timelines. Compiling monthly management accounts and various related reports. Perform month-end accounting tasks including roll-over of subledgers and processing of journal entries. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve differences timeously. Perform VAT reconciliations. Maintaining the cashbooks and bank recons. Collation, analysis and reporting of vehicle fleet costs. Monitor and report scaffolding utilisation. Preparing and managing amortisation of finance leases. Allocation of intercompany costs and intercompany recons. Allocate salary and wage costs through journals and recons. Implement internal controls and manage the shift to digitisation for areas of responsibility. Support the technology strategy of Finance by assisting with implementations through testing of new systems. Expense interrogation and analysis. Compile and keep fixed asset registers. Compile audit files for areas of responsibility.
