Our client is seeking a Fundraising Assistant with basic accounting skills to join their team on a fixed term contract. You will be responsible for helping to secure the necessary funding to support a diverse range of performances and community programs. You will report to the Fundraising & Planning Manager.
Qualification required:
A degree or National Diploma (NQF 7) in either the Humanities, Marketing, and/or Accounting
Experienced required:
Min 2 years experience in fundraising preferably within the performing arts or community based cultural initiatives Computer literate: MS Office and/or fundraising databases Track and report to accounts and donors on the progress of fundraising allocations and the monitoring of project budgets. Conduct thorough research to identify potential donors, grants, corporate sponsorships, and other funding opportunities. Grow and maintain a detailed and organized database of current and potential funding sources, including corporate sponsors. Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns. Communicate with internal teams to gather necessary information and materials for proposals and reports. Assist with donor and sponsor communications, including thank-you letters, newsletters, and updates on the impact of their contributions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or fundraising databases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
