Introduction Our ideal candidate must be able to provide strategic and operational leadership in the administration, governance, monitoring and continuous improvement of contracts for infrastructure programmes and projects. Ensure that all contracts are properly developed, reviewed, negotiated, implemented, monitored and closed out in accordance with applicable legislation, IDT policies, Supply Chain Management requirements, PFMA requirements, construction contract law, and recognised forms of contract including NEC, JBCC, FIDIC and GCC. Duties & Responsibilities Provide Contracts administration and document control servicesDevelop and implement contract management frameworks, systems and SOPsProvide contractual, commercial, SCM and legal advisory supportMonitor contract performance, compliance and riskBuild contract management capacity and continuous improvement Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum of an LLB Degree or equivalent legal qualification. Registration as an Arbitrator with Arbitration SA in Construction Contracts or Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa or equivalentPostgraduate qualification in Construction Law, Contract Management will be an added advantageMinimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in contract management, contract administration, construction contracts or infrastructure/built environment project delivery.Proven experience in infrastructure/built environment, construction, public sector or programme/project implementation environments.Practical experience in SCM, PFMA requirements, construction contract law and standard forms of contract including NEC, JBCC, FIDIC and GCC is compulsory.Experience in contract negotiations, dispute resolution, claims management, variation management, supplier performance monitoring and contract close-out. Competencies: Contract management lifecycle, contract administration and document control. SCM legislation, PFMA, public procurement governance, compliance and audit requirements Construction contract law and standard forms of contract: NEC, JBCC, FIDIC and GCC. Risk management, claims management, dispute avoidance and dispute resolution. Infrastructure project delivery, project controls, commercial management, budgeting and cost control. Policy development, process mapping, SOP development, reporting, dashboards and performance monitoring. Stakeholder management, facilitation, coaching, mentoring and capacity building.
