Location:  Midrand, Pretoria Gauteng

Salary Bracket: R 140,000.00 to R 160,000.00 CTC  per month, depending on qualifications, experience and suitability for the role.

About the Role

Our client invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Contracts Managers for a Design & Construct project awarded by Rand Water.

The project is administered under the FIDIC Silver Book (EPC/Turnkey) and involves the installation of large-diameter welded steel pipelines, associated civil works, mechanical installations, and multidisciplinary coordination.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall contractual, commercial, technical and programme management of the project from commencement through to completion.

 

Non Negotiable:

Delivered bulk water infrastructure projects exceeding R500 million. Extensive experience with FIDIC Silver Book contracts. Successfully managed the installation of large-diameter welded steel pipelines. Strong design coordination experience in an EPC environment. Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities

Lead project delivery from commencement to completion. Manage programme, cost, quality, safety and contractual compliance. Coordinate the design, procurement and construction teams. Manage subcontractors and suppliers. Administer the FIDIC contract and manage contractual risks. Lead stakeholder engagement with Rand Water, consultants and regulatory authorities. Deliver the project safely, on programme and within budget.

Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Requirements

BSc/BEng Civil Engineering or BTech Civil Engineering. Registered as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng, or Pr CPM (advantageous depending on role requirements). Minimum 15 years’ experience in heavy civil engineering. Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Contracts Manager on projects exceeding R500 million. Proven experience on Design & Construct (EPC) projects. Extensive knowledge of FIDIC Silver Book. Experience with: Large-diameter steel pipelines Pump stations Water and wastewater infrastructure Bulk earthworks Reinforced concrete structures Advanced knowledge of CCS, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Strong commercial and contractual management skills.
