Introduction a Group in the East Rand is looking for a Contracts Manager to join their Team.
Travelling will be involved to different sites.
The suitable candidate for the role will have a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering. Must have 10 years experience in Crushing or Mining Industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Productivity, OEE & Profitability Monitors daily and weekly production programmes and ensures production targets are met. Monitors & Drives OEE’s Human Resources Manages the overall Human Resources, ensures adequate staffing, evaluations, training and development of staff. Ensures compliance of HR and IR policies and procedures. Liaison & Business Development Develops & maintains good & workable client relations. To pursue opportunities through chasing down work & projects for the company and its assets. To evaluate projects & opportunities in conjunction with the Management Team To assist with pricing where required & Marketing. New Business Development drives. Contributes to tender and negotiation process. Ensures that work is obtained at correct margin levels. Marketing & sales of business. Quality Control & Safety Ensures knowledge of specific contract specifications, special provisions and drawings where required. Analyses non-conformances and initiates corrective action. To ensure Compliance to the Safety Improvement Plan of the Company, as well as legal compliance with the relevant legislation, includes the compliance with the requirement of certain clients, such as mines & Mine Contractors, were legal, suitable & appropriate. Ensures adherence to all SHEQ matters. Contractual Controls and manages all contractual & Commercial requirements. Safeguards the company’s contractual rights and complies with contractual obligations. Identifies and notifies claims adequately and in time. Ensuring contractual compliance. Maintaining a contractual relationship with clients. Planning and resourcing Assists the Site Manager(s) with the contract programme, labour, materials and equipment. This successful candidate will be responsible for planned maintenance and to ensure that operations are resourced optimally. Maintenance shutdowns & planning. Long term Capex requirements and planning Strategic Performance Areas Profitability Supervises, sets-up and monitors contract plans (tender documents), costing systems, submits overall budget and programmes for contracts. Manages contract measurements and chases payments. This position will be held accountable for the financial performance of the projects under his / her care. The projects to be managed can vary from 1 to 4 or even 5.
Desired Experience & Qualification
10 Years experience in Crushing or Mining Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering Must be prepared to travel extensively South Afircan Citizen
Package & Remuneration R1.5m - R1.6m per annum
