Introduction Our client is seeking a highly experienced Contract Manager (Tender Specialist) to manage full end-to-end tender and contract management.
This hands-on role requires proven experience managing the entire tender lifecycle from initiation to contract award and contract administration. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are transparent, compliant, and deliver value outcomes.

Contract Duration: 6 Months Location: Johannesburg (On-site) Start Date: ASAP Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years in a similar procurement / tender management role
Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Tender & Contract Management
Manage the full tender lifecycle, including:
Tender initiation and needs analysis Scope and specification development Compilation and publication of tender documentation Tender evaluation, adjudication, and reporting Award recommendations and approval processes
Additional responsibilities include:
Guiding end-users in developing clear, compliant, and fit-for-purpose specifications Ensuring all tender processes are transparent, auditable, and legally defensible Managing contract awards, renewals, variations, and extensions Monitoring supplier performance, service delivery, and contractual compliance Preparing evaluation reports, procurement documentation, and presentations Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement compliance and governance
Desired Experience & Qualification Education
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or related fields:
Commerce Procurement / Supply Chain Management Business Management Law Finance Construction Management Engineering
Experience (Non-Negotiable)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement and tender management Proven end-to-end tender management experience (from initiation to award and contract management) Experience in regulated or structured procurement environments Strong experience with tender specification development, evaluation, and reporting Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and end-users
