Duties & Responsibilities Job Purpose:The Communications Learner will support the external affairs team in delivering high-quality internal communications and public affairs initiatives that support corporate reputation initiatives, and ensure consistent messaging across channels. This role will assist with content creation, social media and media monitoring, stakeholder mapping, event coordination, and communications project support, while learning how to operate in a highly regulated business environment. The position offers hands-on experience in agency coordination, digital communications, internal engagement, and public affairs, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and alignment to business priorities.Key Responsibilities:
PR agency management support & Content Creation: reports, newsletters, and social media content; ensuring content aligns with business policy & strict industry regulations. Internal comms: Drive internal comms & support organizational initiatives to build culture Digital & Media Relations: Assisting with social media strategies, media monitoring, compiling campaign performance reports, and tracking press visibility Stakeholder Support: Conducting stakeholder mapping, maintain an updated media list, and supporting government relations or patient advocacy initiatives. Event & Project Support: Helping plan internal events (town halls, Employee meetings etc.) and external engagements (media briefings), capturing photos/video, and contributing to special projects that enhance corporate reputation. Follows purchasing and requisition procedures, Corporate Security and Privacy Rules, Corporate Branding Guidelines. Looks for opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of team functions
Requirements:
Digital Savvy: Proficiency with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS). Proficient and understands Microsoft Office Suite and other business-specific software Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills Ability to build relationships and work effectively as part of a team Bachelor’s degree in communication, public administration, journalism, media studies or marketing. At least 1 – 2 years of experience in communication, public affairs or marketing.
