Introduction The main purpose of this position is to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, research and community engagement in the Department of Nursing Science. The candidate will assist with administrative duties as well as community work. The incumbent will report to the Head of Department.
Desired Experience & Qualification MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Nursing Science 2+ years’ experience in teaching at tertiary level or clinical instructor experience Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse (Community, Psychiatry) and Midwife Bachelor’s Degree/PGDip or Diploma in Nursing Education Potential to undertake administrative responsibilities at departmental level. Sound interpersonal skills. Be prepared to use own vehicle to clinical sites in order to conduct clinical facilitation in clinical sites, located closer to the work area in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal
ADDED ADVANTAGES
Master Degree in the field of Nursing PGDip/Diploma in Advanced Midwifery Short course certificate in preceptorship Assessor and moderator registration with SANC
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to manage clinical teaching programs
Excellent presentation skills Excellent speaking, writing and reading skills in English Computer literate in software programmes that are relevant for teaching and research i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Report writing, Attention to detail, Problem solving skills Analytical thinking
