Role Overview An established civil engineering and construction firm is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer Contracts Manager to lead the contractual, commercial, and operational management of civil infrastructure projects. The role requires a strong blend of technical engineering knowledge and contract management expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Contract & Commercial Management Administer and manage contracts (FIDIC, GCC, NEC or JBCC as applicable). Interpret contract conditions and manage contractual risks. Handle claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes. Prepare and review contractual correspondence. Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
Project Management
Oversee multiple civil projects from award to close-out. Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow. Track project progress against programme and milestones. Coordinate with project managers, site agents, and engineers. Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
Stakeholder Management
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Lead project meetings and reporting. Maintain strong client relationships and communication.
Risk & Compliance
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance. Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
BSc / BEng / BTech in Civil Engineering or similar 5 -10 + years experience in civil engineering and construction. Proven experience managing large civil infrastructure contracts. Strong knowledge of FIDIC/GCC/JBCC/NEC contracts. Experience in roads, bulk earthworks, water, or infrastructure projects. Valid drivers license.
