Introduction Our ideal candidate must be able to provide independent assurance and advisory services that strengthen governance, risk management, internal controls and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. The role leads a strategic, risk-based internal Audit function aligned to the organisation's strategic objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Develop and implement the Internal Audit Strategy. Lead a risk-based internal audit plan.Provide assurance on governance, risk management and internal controls.Provide assurance over financial reporting, PFMA compliance and regulatory requirements.Lead fraud risk management and organisational integrity initiatives. Support the Audit and Risk CommitteeMaintain relationships with AGSA, National Treasury, DPWI and assurance providers. Lead and develop the Internal Audit team. Desired Experience & Qualification Postgraduate qualification (NQF 08 ) in Internal Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related field. Master's degree advantageous. CIA, CA(SA) or equivalent professional designation.10 years' experience, including 5 years at a senior/ executive level.Public sector / PFMA entity experience with built environment experience advantageous.Comprehensive knowledge of governance frameworks such as PFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP, King V, COSO, COBIT, Global Internal Audit Standards.
