Introduction Client in the Travel Industry urgently seeks a Buyer to start IMMEDIATELY on a 2 months contract.
In this role, you will lead Procurement activities for the South African branch and subsidiaries while supporting Creditors and Operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage supplier sourcing, evaluation and negotiation Maintain approved supplier list and contract records Raise purchase orders and ensure compliance with procurement policies Support Creditors team with invoice matching and supplier queries Work with operations to forecast procurement needs Monitor supplier performance and pricing Assist with budgeting by providing cost insights Ensure timely delivery of goods and services Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements Support audits with procurement documentation Chair PO committee meetings, minutes of meetings, the procurement calendar and process Any adhoc duties as assigned
Desired Experience & Qualification
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or Accounting 3-5 years’ procurement or buying experience Strong negotiation and analytical skills Knowledge of procurement systems and workflows SAP experience is advantageous MS Excel & ERP Systems
Package & Remuneration R145 Per hour (R25K per month)
