Blockchain Development Specialist (Ethereum) 12-Month Contract

Introduction We are seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Development Specialist (Ethereum) to join a leading banking client on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative, enterprise-grade blockchain solutions within a highly regulated financial services environment.

 

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing blockchain-based solutions on the Ethereum platform. You will work closely with solution architects, enterprise engineers, and business stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and high-performance decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts aligned to banking and financial services use cases.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity on the Ethereum network Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain integrations Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to blockchain design standards Ensure security, scalability, and performance of blockchain solutions Integrate blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems and APIs Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging of smart contracts and applications Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and cloud teams for secure deployment Stay up to date with emerging blockchain trends, tools, and protocols

 

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience in Ethereum blockchain development Proficiency in Solidity and smart contract development Experience with blockchain frameworks such as Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry Strong understanding of cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and distributed systems Experience integrating blockchain solutions with APIs and enterprise systems Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure preferred) Strong software engineering background (JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar) Experience in financial services or banking environments advantageous

 

Nice to Have

Experience with Layer 2 solutions (Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum) Knowledge of DeFi, tokenization, or digital assets Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
