BI Developer (3-Month Contract)

Our client is seeking an experienced BI Developer to join their team on a 3-month contract. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a passion for transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights and scalable reporting solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions and reporting platforms. Build and optimise dashboards, reports, and visualisations using modern BI technologies. Develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration solutions. Gather business requirements and translate them into technical BI solutions. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across reporting environments. Optimise BI systems for performance, scalability, and usability. Develop and maintain data models and data warehouse structures. Support deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of BI platforms. Collaborate with IT, data, and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. Produce technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role. Strong Microsoft Power BI experience. Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms. Solid SQL and database management skills. Experience developing ETL processes and data pipelines. Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts. Experience with Python and Spark will be advantageous. Ability to manage BI projects from requirements gathering through deployment and support. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
