AI Engineer (Entry)- AI Agents and LLM, C#, .NET

Introduction We are seeking an AI Engineer (Entry) to contribute to the development and integration of AI-powered solutions. The successful candidate will work with C#/.NET, AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), and cloud technologies to build secure, scalable, and maintainable applications. This role is suited to a technically capable developer with solid backend development experience and practical exposure to AI-enabled application development.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

C#/.NET: Strong working knowledge of modern C#/.NET, backend development, REST APIs, asynchronous programming, automated testing, and software engineering best practices. AI Agents & LLMs: Practical experience with AI-enabled application development and LLM services, including prompting, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and conversation/context management. Agent Frameworks: Experience with Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks, with the ability to develop configurable agent-based solutions. MCP & A2A: Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) concepts. Experience implementing or integrating modern agent/tool communication is highly beneficial. Azure & Software Delivery: Experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker and Kubernetes/AKS, Git, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

Experience with multi-agent systems, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop workflows. Experience integrating Azure OpenAI or enterprise LLM services. Knowledge of AI security, including prompt injection, data protection, authentication, and authorisation. Experience with LLM evaluation, tracing, telemetry, and observability. Familiarity with relational, document, and vector databases, as well as distributed and event-driven architectures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Build configurable AI agent capabilities using C#/.NET and Microsoft Agent Framework. Integrate LLMs, tools, APIs, and enterprise services, including orchestration and context management. Implement MCP/A2A integrations. Deploy, monitor, and support solutions using Docker, Azure, and AKS. Develop secure, maintainable software and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Adopt AI-native working practices and tooling. Support existing solutions, DevOps activities, and after-hours, weekend, and public-holiday standby duties as required by the rotation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification. Solid professional experience in C#/.NET backend development. Experience working within a production-grade software development lifecycle. Practical exposure to AI agents, LLMs, or generative AI application development. Experience with Azure and modern Agile/DevOps practices.
