Introduction Our client is a fast growing technology-driven business and they are looking for an Activations & Operations Manager to oversee field operations, installations, logistics and performance across multiple premium locations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate installations, logistics, transportation and equipment deployment across multiple sites. Manage contractors, suppliers, electricians, shopfitters and other service providers. Conduct regular site visits, quality inspections and oversee equipment maintenance. Recruit, train and manage promotional staff while ensuring adequate coverage across all activations. Monitor operational performance, analyse data and prepare management reports with recommendations for improvement. Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to minimise downtime. Identify and evaluate new activation opportunities, conduct site assessments and build relationships with shopping centres, landlords and other venue partners. Ensure all branding, promotional material and operational assets are maintained to company standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification
3+ years' experience in activations, field operations, logistics, project management or a similar operational role. Experience coordinating multiple projects, contractors and stakeholders simultaneously. Previous experience managing field teams or promotional staff. Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills. Commercial mindset with the ability to understand operational performance and business growth. Strong reporting, analytical and computer skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Experience within retail activations, consumer technology, vending or a similar industry will be advantageous. Existing relationships with shopping centres, commercial property managers or landlords will be beneficial. Valid South African driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
Package & Remuneration R35,000 – R45,000 Gross per month (negotiable based on experience)
Fixed-term contract (1 August – 31 December 2026), with high potential for permanent appointment
