A leading tech company is hiring a Software Release Manager for a 12 month contract

<p>12 month contract available</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p><p>The Software Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the deployment of software releases across development, testing, and production environments. This role ensures that releases are delivered on schedule, meet quality standards, and align with business and technical requirements.</p><p>The incumbent will work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and operations teams to establish efficient release processes, minimise downtime, and ensure smooth transitions through all stages of the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC).</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ol><li>Requests the opening of a new PCE version</li><li>Ensures that the testing environments are ready by participating in the environment meeting on Thursdays</li><li>Prioritize cases in collaboration with 2nd line Support</li><li>Requests parent COs for releases</li><li>Drives the cases that are “not ready for testing”</li><li>Drives all cases that are not decomposed</li><li>Prepares material for war room meetings</li><li>Prepares material for bug scrub meetings</li><li>Runs daily bug scrubs</li><li>Follows up on testing issues</li><li>Requests PCE Freeze</li><li>Produces WhatsApp list of all implementation Resources and confirm communication</li><li>Determine system downtimes</li><li>Requests BU approvals</li><li>Requests COs for all areas</li><li>Arranges pre-implementation health checks</li><li>Arranges post implementation IT sanity checks</li><li>Does final check to ensure that everything is in place for implementation (Implementation Resources, CO’s, parent CO, PCE version frozen, broadcast, standby list)</li><li>Change the status of implemented cases to verification</li><li>Requests the script to be run to close the implemented cases</li><li>Attend show stopper meetings</li><li>Attend CAB meetings</li><li>Arrange the creation of new releases on ClearSupport</li><li>Task completions on IPACCMAN after the implementation of a release</li></ol><p><br></p><ol><li>Production cases management (BPTs, other cases)</li></ol><p><br></p><ol><li>Approvals</li><li>Assignment</li><li>Closure</li><li>Scheduling</li><li>Dispatching to QC</li><li>Status changes</li><li>Run report of cases that need to be verified and manage the outcomes</li></ol><p><br></p><ol><li>Other</li></ol><p><br></p><ol><li>Produce and maintain release schedules</li><li>Maintain record of internally implemented CRs (BPM, UB, SLIM, NCAS, FB)</li></ol><p><br></p>
