Introduction Our client, a leading automotive production company, is currently looking to hire 2 x Temp Project Engineers to join their team in Kariega, Eastern Cape. This will be a fixed-term contract position of 6 – 8 months and will form part of the Logistics Division.
About the role:
To plan, design, develop, implement, and maintain logistics systems, material handling facilities, and transport solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and implement logistics projects, production requests, and improvement initiatives Design and implement logistics facilities (racking, packaging, storage, trolleys, pallets, etc.) Develop production and warehouse layouts using CAD systems Coordinate project meetings and liaise with stakeholders across departments Develop and optimise packaging specifications to reduce cost and prevent damage Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and operational standards
Desired Experience & Qualification
National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering / Logistics /Project or Operations Management
Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics processes within an automotive manufacturing environment Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in Logistics Planning or similar function Minimum 2 years’ Project Management experience Experience with CAD systems, Power BI , Simulation Programs Experience working with external contractors on facility development/modifications
